My students currently lose instruction time due to their teacher using an outdated computer that shuts down when it overheats (which is a few hours into instructional time). This is very difficult since we are a technology driven school. Please help my classroom get an updated laptop.
My students are sixth graders who are eager to learn science.
Our school has students from all over the state of New Hampshire. They come to our school so they can excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. These students need the newest technology to best meet their needs. They love technology and they love learning. We are a charter school located in the state of New Hampshire.
My Project
With 1 MacBook Air, my students would no longer lose instructional time because the old laptop, which is my old personal laptop, currently in use overheated then shut down, or the screen froze. Students would have the opportunity to view their science notes using our projector, but with newer, updated, more appealing technology. This MacBook Air would also allow students to view websites, mini education videos, and help our everyday class function more smoothly and use time more wisely. This MacBook Air would also allow me as a teacher to easily and quickly take attendance each period, without major disruptions, like waiting for an old personal laptop to cool down. Please help our classroom update technology by allowing us to get a MacBook Air to benefit all my students.
This project is super important to me because I want to share my passion for science using technology on a daily basis, without worrying whether my old personal laptop will work or not.
Having a new MacBook Air in my classroom would mean I could more efficiently teach students, rather than waste time fixing an old, worn out laptop. Please help me bring this much needed technology to our classroom. I want my students to continue to love learning science as much as much I enjoy teaching it to them.
