Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
By integrating technology in the classroom across the curriculum, students' opportunities for achievement will be increased. The use of base learning websites will provide students the ability to learn directly from information provided by web based sources.
New technology in my Title I elementary school will increase students' mathematical understanding and capabilities for problem solving.
Our program will emphasize problems using everyday life situations and scenarios. Both state and district educational departments measure students ability to problem solve and to think critically.
My Project
My students need ten Dell Latitude laptops and six iPads for math integration. By receiving the ten laptops and six iPads, students will have the opportunity for Technology Math integration, that enables students to practice rigorous curriculum, communicate effectively, and to inspire motivation to learn more. Most importantly, the SBISD objective is to encourage all graduates to further their education by attending a two year college program, a four year degree, a technical school certification, or a military career. Opportunities to encourage further education begin on the elementary level. By providing students with hands-on experiences using technology, students will be confident and fearless as they continue through the public school system.
This project will provide my students with one to one computer correspondence, and will provide the necessary tools to implement computer integration into math.
Students will develop an understanding for using technology in everyday life situations and appreciation for computer applications. The technology and skills that they will learn will enhance their ability for success throughout high school and especially college.
