My school has students who are amazing and are eager to learn. We have a diverse population of students from all over the world who are faced with challenges everyday such as homelessness, poverty and much, much more. Our teachers are fantastic and provide rigorous academic learning and a safe environment! With all of these challenges that our students face they still are excited to learn something new each day that they can teach to their families.

My students love to learn in different and exciting ways. I want my students to get the most out of life and learning, while they are young and want to learn. Most of my students have single parent homes or living with relatives. 100% of my students are on free or reduced lunch. With this, most of my students know the struggle their parents go through. I want to provide a new and exciting opportunity into a new world of computational thinking.
My Project
Cozmo is a great resource that will introduce coding into the classroom. Coding is not just playing with robots and making them talk and move. There is a science to it and requires all parts of the core subjects: math and reading. As an upper elementary teacher it is important to challenge student thinking.
Cozmo the Robot is an exiting way to make students responsible, ready to learn and great computational thinkers.
Cozmo will be used as STEM activities that allow students to investigate and code and provide tools for exploring difficult concepts in all subject areas. Cozmo is a tool that will help me make my students self-motivated learners.
