Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Every year of my teaching career, the students bring in the wrong school supplies for school. The curriculum asks for composition books and folders because they last long and all of their work is put together. However, every year the students bring in spiral notebooks or binders. Since the parents bought their child's materials already, they refuse to go out and purchase them the correct ones. I guess that is what you get for working at an at-risk school. These composition books and folders will be used for every subject throughout the day in school. This year is an important year for my students because it is the 4th grade, the dreaded year of the standardized test. I do not wish to waste any time waiting for my students to have the correct supplies because we are going to have a busy year starting on the first day of school.
