Help me give my students a longer class time by having their own instrument to play.

My students have a passion for music, yet they do not have a creative outlet at home. In class, they are free to learn and create. Music is their outlet to release stress and express their emotions in a healthy manner. Music teaches soft skills as students learn and play individually and as a group.
We take care of each other and we strive for excellence in everything we do.
We are located in a large suburb outside of Dallas. We have a very diverse population of students. The majority of our students are classified as economically disadvantaged. My students are hard working and diligent artists who possess ambition and vision. The students are not afraid to take on challenges and succeed. Many of them understand their current environment and economic situation. This propels them to explore opportunities that will help them discover their uniqueness.
Music affords them the opportunity to cultivate hard and soft skills necessary to compete in this world. Many of them do not see musicianship soft skills such as teamwork, respect, responsibility and constructive criticism modeled. When they step into the classroom environment they understand they are not being judged but are free to create.
Currently not all of my students can play at once, we must take turns. This takes my 55 minute class and cuts it in half so that everyone may have the opportunity to participate. We would love for you to help us complete the class set of Orff Instruments so that everyone can play together. Having everyone play together allows us the full class time and we can deepen our understanding in music education. When students can play together they build cameraderie and are able to help each other. They begin to understand cooperative play and blending as a band. We use the Orff Schulwerk pedagogy to allow students the opportunity to create and learn music and movement in a way that allows them to lead. The Orff Instruments will be used to assist students in improvisation techniques making it easier for them to create on demand.
