My students come to school ready and eager to learn! They love to stay busy and complete hands on activities that keep them moving in the classroom.
My second graders are full of questions, and I am excited about allowing my students to answer their own questions through inquiry based learning.
I have students from a wide range of social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. They come to school every day ready to learn and to work hard! Our school motto is "We are Learning to Live and Living to Learn," and my students are walking proof of that.
My Project
Inclusion is such an important lesson that my students need to learn. They deal with people that are different than them all the time, and they need to learn different ways to show understanding of others.
Martin Luther King Jr said, "We are not makers of history- We are made by history." Having a round table for my students to listen to the read along book about Martin Luther King Jr is crucial to learning how to include and interact with others.
Sitting separately causes a divide that we don't need in our classroom. I want them to be able to sit at the table and work as a team as they learn about a man that worked so hard to break down diversity and promote a world of inclusion.
