This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in the School of Technology at Wilson HS in Long Beach, Ca. These students are driven in STEM. Their core classes are Coding using A+, Java, JavaScript to name a few as well as learning the "ins" and "outs" of cyber-security.

As Lead Teacher of the pathway, I need to be up to date on the latest technology when teaching my lessons.

Our school provides Chromebooks 1:1 for students, and therefore, I am in need of a Chromebook to conduct my lessons.

About 8 years ago, I received an Elmo doc camera and a Chromebook from donors like you on donorschoose.org. Unfortunately, it just stopped receiving updates from Chrome because it is an older Chromebook.

Being a lead teacher, I cannot rely solely on my district desktop. I have to attend meetings and be mobile with a laptop.

I would be grateful to receive a new laptop to be up with Tech!
