My students need the TI 15 Calculators in 6th grade as one of their Classroom and Testing Accommodations. My 5th graders use the TI 108 Calculators, also, as Classroom and Test Accommodations.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hi, I am Ashley DeBusk. I teacher in a Title 1 school in Midland, Texas. The students that I serve are students that have been identified as Special Education Students. My students eligibilities range from Specific Learning Disabilities (in Reading / Math or Both), Other Heath Impairments: ADHD, CP, Etc; Emotional Disturbance, Intellectual Delays, Autism, and many more.
Supplies for my classroom 90 to 95% of the time come out of my own pocket because supplies and Classroom Technology are not a priority at the school I am at for my class.
The other 5 to 10% of yearly supplies are supplies that a family member graciously donates to me and my class because she want to help me and my kids in any little way possible.
My Project
One of the important things that we strive to do is help kids succeed in life. Many times students that have difficulty in a subject want to give up and not try. Many of my students have difficulty with math.
As one of the Classroom Accommodations that my students have access to in the 5th and 6th grade are Calculators in Math and Science.
By having access to a calculator as one of their classroom accommodations, it provides my Special Education students the same access to the General Education Curriculum that their General Education Peers have access to without a calculator.
