Mrs. WHITE BURGESS from Pittsburgh PA is requesting art supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students the advantage of having a cricuit machine in the classroom. We will use this machine to create a sensory path, which will help them socially and emotionally, and we will also create t-shirts.

My students are the best! I love them all from the bottom of my heart. They are what keep me going day in and day out! The majority of my students come from poverty stricken homes. They may show up hungry, tired, or traumatized from events that transpired the night before. I make it my mission and purpose to ensure their six hours spent within my classroom all of their needs are met. If they are hungry, I feed them, if they are tired, I provide a cozy place for them to rest, if they are traumatized, I provide a loving hug and a listening ear.
I am asking for your support in getting a cricuit machine for our classroom. This machine has various purposes and can be utilized in many ways. So far I have two projects that we can use this machine for, and I am sure that once we get started more projects will follow.
One project I would love to create is a sensory path.
A sensory path is a colorful, creative and playful way for kids to build sensory pathways, connections in the brain that are responsible for sight, touch, sound. These paths allow students a healthy and productive way to experience and release their emotions in a safe environment.
Another way we would use this machine is to create t-shirts for our entire classroom with our school name. My students work hard every day and having a t-shirt with our school name will allow them to feel like an active member in their school and community.
