Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Please donate some paint to make our CommUNITY Mural come to fruition! Wouldn't you like to know that you helped parents, community members and children all come together to create one large piece of of artwork?
Our campus has grown to almost 700 students and a small elementary school nestled amongst the trees has been forced to expand to meet the needs of today's times.
Our student body has significantly changed as well. More than 65% of our students come from economically depressed background. Like many counties we have been cut to the bare minimum. Our students need this cultural, fun opportunity!
My Project
My students need acrylic paint for a CommUNITY Mural that will not only beautify the school campus but will provide community connections with parents and volunteers. Students will enjoy studying an artist along side parents, community helpers, and members of the staff and school board to design a mural for the outside wall for all to see. This project will be all inclusive to anyone willing to work and put some hours in. everyone can can participate! The resources requested will be used as the basics for our mural. Our students have collaborated with parents, leaders in the community, and partners in education to come up with a united theme for our outside wall. The students will research the artist and design the artwork. We will all work together to create it.
