My Students
My class is a first grade ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom. I am a first year teacher and am starting out with nothing! ASD students truly benefit from sensory objects and different types of learning tools than general education students. I want to transform my classroom into a room that makes these students feel safe and ready to learn. I have big plans for these kiddos and cannot wait to get started! Please help me help my kiddos learn and get ready for second grade!
My Project
My school is hosting a Community Helper Day in March and I would like to gather some supplies for my kiddos to better learn about all the community helpers in our town. My kids are very visual learners and that is why I have chosen some posters and puzzles. I think this will help my students make the connections between pictures and the real world community helpers!
