Community Building and Connecting With the World

My Students

I have a group of highly energetic students. They got used to working on their own schedule during distance learning and enjoyed that independence. They are wonderful students but lack a sense of community that I've had with classes in the past.

My Project

The flex seating will help our rebuild our classroom community by promoting collaborative conversations. Students will be able to move from one space to another. They will have options of sitting high and low, stable or with motion. They will learn to work with different students and find the learning style that works for them.

Time for Kids will help students connect with the rest of the world.

Time for Kids give lets my high-income / low diversity class get a glimpse into the lives of children from other cultures, races, and economic backgrounds.
