This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are eager to learn and devour knowledge. We love hands-on, engaging lessons that challenge us to think, problem-solve, and create. We love to experiment and research ways to improve our learning and our environment. We share our creations with others and benefit from a collective experience.

Engineers, architects, artists, scientists all start as young students in an elementary school and all need the tools and resources to thrive and succeed.

We are a Title I, low-income, school that needs all the help we can, to acquire resources and supplies to bring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) alive!

My Project

As they play with LEGO bricks, students develop fine motor skills, learn how to express themselves, and explore the world they live in. This set allows students to work independently as well as collaboratively to design a community that is mutually beneficial for all.

So many pieces, so many possibilities!

The ideas are endless and the creations not thought of yet as young students learn to create towers, houses, and community buildings. Their language grows as they explore and work together. Their knowledge of careers and job skills grows as well as they see what goes into a working community.
