My Students

My little first graders are super sweet! Their hearts are in the correct place when it comes to school. They are ready to learn in fun and exciting ways!

My school is in the heart of Oklahoma.

First graders are at the age when they are constantly asking questions, observing, and pointing out all the little details. Being my first time to teach this grade level at my new school, I will need help getting the correct supplies for my classroom that our school district can't provide.

My Project

Recess, dismissal time, lunch and bad weather days are just a few of the times my students will have the opportunity to use two-way radios. Kids love walkie-talkies so having powerful ones at school will be lots of fun for all my students. Two-way radios are such an important item to have at any elementary school. Communication is essential when any emergency occurs that restricts conventional communication. The radios will be used during recess to radio the office of injuries or just to let the teachers know a student is checking out. All the teachers will be able to communicate if bad weather comes in and shuts down communication in our building. The entire school will be utilizing them daily to better benefit our students.
