Communication is not taken for granted in the lives of my students with significant needs.

I teach special education for students with significant needs. One of the challenges that most of my students face is language. Many of them find it difficult to communicate even the simplest needs and wants. Some of them use pictures to communicate, gestures or verbal expressions.

Having picture flash cards would allow for me to purposefully teach new words that they can use to communicate their ideas.

Your help will greatly impact my students' lives because they will be able to learn how to communicate their thoughts.
