This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are between the ages of 4 and 5 with communication and social skills needs. They have been placed in an effective early education program that provides assistance with the fundamentals surrounding social-emotional regulation, independent functioning, and academics to meet their specific needs. Some of my students have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, however, in my class, we recognize the sky is the limit. I push my students to achieve everything that they are capable of without the limitation of their diagnosis!

My students have extensive communication needs.

The variety of materials provided by this project will work wonders in giving them the necessary tools to further thier ability to regulate emotions, cooperate with peers, and communicate appropriately.
