This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a Title 1 school with 18 very inquisitive and eager little faces who love to learn, especially when it comes to using technology. My kiddos need an overhaul when it comes to organization. It is so hard to keep up with all of the papers that need to go home to parents daily. In order to keep our communications lines open and clear, we need a way to maintain all those important papers in an orderly fashion.
My Project
Students work on every subject daily. They need a place to store their papers so they will not get ripped or torn. We would like to share our work with our parents in the best condition possible.
All of our students have important bulletins and letters that need immediate attention from parents.
Sometimes, these papers get lost or torn up because there is not a safe place to keep them during the day. This classroom mailbox would serve as that safe place.
The end of the day is often hectic when students are trying to pack up their belongings. The mailbox would make it easier and quicker for them to gather up their belongings and pack up for a smooth dismissal.
