Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Can you imagine not being able to communicate your wants and needs? Can you imagine falling behind your peers in school? My students struggle and need speech and language therapy. They need to learn strategies and skills in order to communicate.
My students are fifth and sixth grade students in an elementary school.
They have difficulty understanding and using language to communicate and learn. School is difficult for my students. They require enriching materials to help them learn. They are a hard working group of students!
My Project
By having new, interactive computer games, my students will be able to learn using technology! Technology is motivating and fun. Students are always motivated by the graphics and games. These computer games by LakeShore Learning will target all of my students' speech and language goals (vocabulary, following directions, and listening comprehension). These games will help my students stay focused and listen!
By having fun and exciting computer games, that work on speech and language skills, my students will love to learn and will succeed!
It will also teach them computer skills and turn taking skills that will benefit them in the future.
