Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in my classroom come from different backgrounds and cultures. Most have them have different learning disabilities. Several students are English Language Learners. Many of my students are coming to the classroom with minimal interaction from peers or adults from outside the home.
The students are friendly, polite, creative, and most of all spirited and engaged when they feel as they are an important part of the lesson.
My students enjoy collaborating with their peers on a daily basis but yet find it hard to become socially interactive with students and adults outside their daily routine. They have the ability to interact with others but with more self-confidence, they can become more socially active with others outside their own classes.
My Project
The students will use iPads to help with the communication barrier among themselves and the staff. Students will use iPads as part of collaborative groups to generate thoughts and ideas to compare and contrast between groups. They will be able to organize their results to come up with conclusions. In addition, students will be able to use iPads to improve their reading and writing skills.
Your donations will help students feel better about themselves and learn to use technology to overcome technology barriers.
As well as learn new skills they otherwise would not have access too. The students will be ecstatic if they were able to obtain iPads.
