My Students

Some of my students cannot afford TI 84 calculators and I would like to have some for those students who cannot afford them.

My students are high school students.

Our school is in a suburban area, some students are from very poor families that cannot afford these calculators. Common Core Standards in math will make math more meaningful and will be more project based. These graphing calculators will help my students do more math-work connections.

My Project

The Common Core Standards are higher level learning, with more hands-on learning. Our students will need these higher level, graphing calculators to be able to connect their math skills to real life. These calculators will help students understand many more math real life connections. Students also need to be familiar with these calculators for tests like the ACT and SAT. These calculators will help them throughout high school and many will use this same model in college.

This will allow me to have a few extra calculators to lend students.

Many of my students cannot afford these calculators and it would be so beneficial to have extras to help all students.
