My students are energetic, passionate, competitive, and fabulous elementary students. They share a love of learning and are always encouraging each other to do their absolute best. My students enjoy working together and growing as learners. My students enjoy learning through movement and building things.
We live in a rural area in Western North Carolina.
Our county has a very low income. The poverty rate at our school is high, with a large portion of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
Our STEM lab serves students from Kindergarten to sixth grade. My students need an OSMO hotwheels kit and hotwheels track builders in order to incorporate force/motion with everyday items. Students will gain a great understanding of force and motion through the use of these items.
One of the most important things that we can do for our student is to allow them to have fun and learn through play.
Students love learning through hands on play. Students ask inquisitive questions that further develop their 21st century skills. The OSMO hotwheels kit will allow students to think critically and work as a team in order to challenge their classmates in a meaningful/beneficial way.
