Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is made up of a variety of families from different neighborhoods, educational backgrounds, and economic groups. One of the many things we all have in common is a love and desire for these children to all be successful.

I am changing grades this upcoming year and will be teaching a kind, excited group of 25 students, who are all excited to embark on the literary units of second grade.

I am excited for this new adventure, but need more supplies for my new grade!

My Project

I have a group of 24 readers who love to read. We have grown our collection of bean bags and a couch for our classroom, but do not have enough for EACH child to have their own special space. There is quite a demand for these comfy places to read and I would love to be able to provide a comfy spot for each child to read.

These beanbags would allow for individualized reading space for each child so that they can transfer the love of reading between home and the "comfy classroom".
