I have 22 energetic second grade students! These students need to have comfortable places to read and learn, as well as resources that will help them to continue to grow.
My students are excited to come to school and eager to learn.
We are a Title one school, which means that many of my students come from low income homes. I also have students from several different countries in my classroom! Many of these students are still learning the English language.
My Project
I feel that these wobble stools will help my students get a little bit of movement while still focusing on the task they are completing. Just like adults do not like to sit in a straight back chair all day, this is often the case for my students. Also, I feel that if my students have the option of a wobble stool or a comfy seat, it will help them be more comfortable in our classroom. When students are more comfortable, I believe they will be more open to learning.
I have several struggling readers in my classroom this year.
I feel that the phonics and sight word resources will help them grow into awesome readers!
