Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 1st grade in an inner city school district. My first grade classroom will typically have around 25 students or so. My students are always eager to come to school and learn new things. Many of my students enjoy being in school and enjoy being with their teacher and friends. In our classroom we have a positive sense of unity and respect for one another.
They truly deserve the best education experience so that they have the best chance of a positive future!
Just because my students live in an inner city school district, shouldn't mean their school experience should be any different than suburban school districts.
My Project
This carpet will allow students to have a comfy and clean place to sit throughout the day to learn. Without this carpet, my students will be on a cold floor. My students deserve a nice classroom with variety of places to sit and learn.
First graders really need move a lot throughout the day, this carpet gives the chance to get out of our seats and sit in a new spot!
Students will be able to enjoy our time together on this carpet by being comfy and cozy while learning! By donating you will be helping my students have a pleasant classroom to be in daily. I truly need your help because each year as an educator I put a lot of money out of pocket. Unfortunately, this is one project I can't afford on top of everything.
