My Students

I teach a diverse group of preschoolers who all come from low income homes and diverse backgrounds. Some have developmental delays, but they don't let it hold them back.

My preschoolers can be a rambunctious group, but they are eager to learn and bring joy to my heart each day.

Not every day goes as planned, but every day is a learning and growing experience. We may start out reading a book and it turns into a conversation about their trip to Walmart. Some days I find they need a hug more than a lesson on shapes.

Every day with them is a new adventure, not only in learning but in caring and opening your heart to them.

My Project

The listening center will be used to create a library center for my students. It will give them a cozy, comfortable place to relax and enjoy a good book. In the library center right now we had a pillow for the students to sit on, which had to be removed because of COVID-19.

My students deserve a library center that will foster a love for reading.

I believe that this addition will be a great improvement to our classroom and all the children will want to go read. If they have an early love for books and reading it will follow them throughout their lives.
