Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from varying backgrounds. They endure the challenges of living in a low income neighborhood while also balancing the thrills of being a student. These students come to the school from different neighborhoods in Richmond to attend our school's unique Special Education program. Despite learning and economic challenges they are forced to face, they come to school each day eager to learn.
My students have different learning and behavioral challenges as they are learning and developing at different levels compared to their peers.
Despite these differences, they still deserve an encouraging, rigorous, and comfortable learning environment. Your donation will help provide a warm and welcoming learning environment for my students.
My Project
A pack of calming color pillows and carpets will enable each one of my students to have comfortable place in the class. This will give them a space where they will feel like they are most ready to learn. This will promote more responsibility in taking care of their classroom materials.
Flexible seats will encourage my students to interact with their classroom more.
This will engage them in their learning and make learning more interesting. The classroom carpet will create a place that will foster a positive classroom community for my students. Your donations will positively transform my Special Education classroom.
