This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first grade scholars come from all walks of life. We are a STEM school that provides all scholars with equal opportunity for innovation, engineering, and design principles.

My amazing first grade class is composed of 24 students ages 6-7.

Half of my class participates in the Reduce Lunch Program.

They are motivated learners that enjoy working cooperatively with each other. They enjoy learning kinesthetically, spatially, linguistically, and interpersonally. My students come to school daily and are eager to learn.

My Project

Bean bag chairs will help create a study environment that encourages my students to learn with passion and curiosity.

My focus is to create a learning environment that will advance skills in problem solving, critical thinking and STEM disciplines.

They will need to work independently and in groups. The bean bags will foster collaboration between teachers and students.

The way our children learn is evolving as times change, and it's exciting to see firsthand how the traditional classroom is being transformed into an interactive learning space.

Bean bag chairs are flexible and lightweight so that it can be easily moved to adjust the functionality of the classroom between individuals and team learning.
