Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our schools motto is impact, educate, and inspire all kids! We are an amazing school located on a Native American Reservation. Many of our students come from diverse backgrounds and are English language learners. Our students all receive free lunch due to our high amount of students below the poverty line.
We are enthusiastic about STEM education, project-based learning, and building a life-long love of reading and math.
As a STEM school who believes that project-based, hands-on learning opportunities create a bridge between learning and application, our goal is to provide these experiences for our students daily. We work hard to provide the most engaging learning experiences for all our students.
My Project
We love reading! The adventures you can go on, the characters you remember forever and the settings you can visualize come to life in a book! We would love a reading rug to lay on to snuggle up to with a good book.
A good rug can be an essential tool not only for deigning a friendly environment but for classroom management as well.
Having a quality rug will allow students to feel like they are in a safe learning environment. We will work as a whole group on the carpet and also it can be a reward area for students who follow expectations.
A rug like this will also be an amazing sensory tool in the classroom for students will all types of needs. students with sensory issues will benefit from the softness and comfort of the rug, verses the hard floor we currently have.
