Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a school family. They take pride in coming to school and have created a very tight-knit classroom community.
They are filled with love and an eagerness to learn.
Students are between the ages of three and five years old. Our classroom family includes students with disabilities of varying ranges. The backgrounds of my students are very diverse. About one-third of my students have recently relocated from different countries, adding unique and cultural depth to our Pre-K community. Our school is a Title I school in an area recently impacted by Hurricane Irma.
My Project
The materials that I am asking for will help create a "school home" environment for our "school family". Years of use have put our current furniture in unsatisfactory condition. Keeping items in the classroom that are broken and unusable help to deteriorate the respect for the classroom that teachers try so hard to create and implement every year. They will use the Flex-Space Cozy Work Space Bundle in many ways. They'll use it to relax, learn, calm down, read, communicate with friends and in dramatic play. Students open up when they feel comfortable in classroom. Young minds learn the most when they feel safe and comfortable.
