My Students

My students are a fun-loving group. They love everything about school. There are 34 students split between two classes. We will do a lot of grouping, so I will get to enjoy every single one of them!

The students come from many different types of homes, many from low socioeconomics.

They range from homes with both parents, to living with just one parent or guardian, to living with grandparents. They may be well off or may not have much. These amazing students still come to school with a smile on their faces and are ready to learn!

It would be great to have the students come to school and not sit on a hard floor!

My Project

Our school has a large area that needs to be more inviting to students. This area has a couple of tables and chairs with a lot of blank space. I choose a flex-space cozy couch and chair from Lakeshore Learning. They will be used for small group and independent learning.

Let's fill the empty space with comfortable furniture to encourage students to read and collaborate!

Students love being able to work together, but tables aren't always the best place. Why not let the students be comfortable while being engaged? The couch and chair will be a great beginning step to fill our empty space!
