Help me give my students a Duolang 2647 CFM Indoor Outdoor Portable Evaporative Air Cooler Swamp Cooler.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
"It's Friday! Friday! Friday! Don't wanna work, I want to play!" This is a favorite chant of my fifth graders who visit at least three classrooms each Friday, singing and being praised for their hard work that they have completed that week. The students' enthusiasm for celebrating their hard work permeates throughout the entire building.
One hundred percent of our school qualifies for free breakfast and lunch in our rural community, but participating in a variety of activities, definitely keeps these fifth graders engaged and willing to learn.
We also have a local National Guard Unit in our area and have a lot of military families with parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins serving in our beautiful country. Our staff also has the opportunity to focus on the homeless students in our area by attending workshops and lectures to meet the needs of our students. We are dedicated to helping our students and their families in every way we can.
Creating a learning environment where kids feel loved, safe, and comfortable is my top priority. I am constantly finding ways to better our learning environment.
Currently our school does not have air conditioning and learning in an uncomfortable and hot environment is not an easy task for my fifth graders.
In the past, we have used fans in our room but they are super noisy and its hard to hear over the top of them. Plus rotating hot air really isn't all that efficient. We have turned out the over head lights to keep the heat down during those hot months and my students have water bottles to keep them hydrated. August through October can be miserable when you have 30 plus kids packed in a room with temperatures hitting over 85 degrees outside. Then there are the months of May and June when it gets warm once again. It is hard to learn and focus on concepts when you are uncomfortable. This portable swamp cooler would definitely be helpful to our learning environment during those hot months that we are in school. Being comfy and cool equals a lot more learning!
