My students need the Flex-Space Comfy Floor seats to complete our flexible seating options in our classroom. The Echo Dot will allow us to incorporate music during our classroom transitions and enhance the student writing pieces.
I am looking forward to starting my 23rd year of teaching and meeting my new students in September! Creating an environment where students can work collaboratively while developing the skills that will help them to succeed in the 21st century is my focus.
My goal is to facilitate learning while building the students' confidence.
Guiding them to find academic success while helping each child to develop social skills to help them interact with others is the rewarding part of my day. I encourage them to take responsibility for learning. My greatest pleasure is watching the students reflect on their own growth mindset. Each child has strengths and areas to improve upon. The classroom environment encourages each student to have choices and varied materials to access content. Providing a variety of ways to learn the content and options for how to demonstrate an understanding of the standards has proven successful while increasing student academic confidence!
My Project
The Flex Space Comfy Floor seats will complete our classroom transformation to using flexible seating options. The students will be able to collaborate during centers by having a chair that offers support and comfort. The comfy floor seats will provide another area to collaborate.
Our classroom learning space will be more interactive with the use of the Alexa Echo Dot 2nd Generation Speaker.
The students will enjoy listening to music and favorite books. Group work can be enhanced by having the Echo Dot to help to select randomized groupings, timers and reminders. Their writing will be enhanced by reinforcement of spelling, definitions and synonyms. Using the Echo Dot technology will help the students access support in their academics.
