This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How can we close the achievement gap when students do not have the necessary materials to succeed? A simple sharp pencil makes a first graders day better!

The students in my classroom are students gaining independence and are dedicated to their learning.

With teaching in a low-income neighborhood, it's hard to ask for donations from parents. They already do so much for their kids and the classroom. My students love learning and they deserve the best; such as new bean bag chairs.

My Project

Having a quiet area in the classroom is very beneficial to students. It allows them to decompress and gather their thoughts. Comfy bean bag chairs to sit in would be an added bonus! If students feel comfortable in their reading area, they will be more engaged in their reading. The chairs will help make the reading area a comfortable and inviting atmosphere to be in and to learn and grow in. The more I can make my classroom an enjoyable place to learn, the more the students will be engaged and be successful in their learning at a young age.
