Help me give my students some new options when it comes to seating, such as floor seats and a balance ball. Desks and chairs are boring and uncomfortable.
My wonderful students are scholars in every sense of the word.
We are a community of learners; every one of us has something to offer.
They have a passion for learning that is intoxicating and exciting to be around. We want to be 21st-century learners in order to prepare us for a world that is connected and is able to learn at the press of a button.
Our school community is rich in partnership between students, families, and educators. This provides us with the support to push forward with engaging the world.
My Project
The demands of elementary children have increased significantly in the past decade. Students have a major workload and are expected to come back every day ready to learn more.
A comfortable environment to learn allows students to better show what they know.
These new seating options will allow them to be more comfortable and enjoy our classroom environment more. I love having students sit around the room to get some movement, get comfortable, and get to work. Right now, they sit on the floor, move a regular hard chair to a new spot, or just stay at their desk. These flex options allow for a better, mobile option.
