I am lucky to see all 318 students in my school each week and my students know that when they come to my class, I am going to ask them to be actively engaged in our learning. We could be exploring new genres of literature, evaluating apps and websites for research, responding to writings, or maybe even partaking in rounds of musical book chairs! Learning comes in all forms in my class!
My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, including family makeup, socioeconomic status, language, religion, and educational backgrounds.
With this variety comes a wide range of abilities and my job is to reach each and every one of them with every lesson I teach.
Comfortable and cozy chairs will add just the right touch to our reading corner! These reading chairs will be a great addition to our daily story-time, allowing students to have a special spot around our beautiful (donors choose) carpet. Providing a comfortable spot while listening or engaging in class discussion is key to both active and passive participation.
A comfortable chair may not seem like much in our daily lives, but in a school environment alternative seating can brighten up not only a space, but also our lessons and possibly a student's attitude toward learning!
Cozy and comfy chairs will give my students and myself a great place to share the wonderful adventures books can provide!
