My Students

My 24 second graders are Amazing! They are enthusiastic, energetic learners that come from a rural community. They enjoy coming to school every day with hopes and dreams to grow up and become teachers, doctors, scientists, and farmers. We learn and work together to become a community of learners.

Our classroom is a family.

Our staff supports our children and families and provides them with a loving, caring learning environment to ensure all children feel safe, happy and can become successful learners.

My Project

We spend a great amount of time throughout our day sitting on the floor listening to stories, learning and sharing ideas. Every day we work in small groups and problem solve together learning about the world around us. Often we use clipboards and lay on the floor.

My students love to spread out on the floor and read, draw and play games together.

We would like to make our learning area comfy and cozy by having a carpet to designate each student with their own learning space as well as lay on and read books. This rug will help children feel at home.
