Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our campus is in its third year of servicing our San Antonio students. Our class is a eager group of 21 first graders ready to learn each and every day! Each student has a different style of learning and most are very active. Although our school is not a Title I school, I do have students from various socioeconomic backgrounds who are considered economically disadvantaged. I also have many students whose parents serve in the military, as our school is close to a military base. We are diverse in every way and enjoy learning from each other.
My Project
Our class loves our classroom library. The only thing missing is a super comfortable spot to lounge with a good book! The couch will provide the perfect space for my students to relax and read. I want our classroom to feel like a home, comfortable and calm at all times.

Our class was lucky enough to receive 4 wobble stools earlier this year. We are in need of 1 more stool to complete our Guided Reading table. The stools are a hit!
