Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 2nd grade at a TitleI school in Norfolk. I have been working very hard to make reading enjoyable for my students. They go to reading center everyday for around 15 minutes. This is the time when they get their book buckets and go find a good spot in the classroom to focus on their reading. These cute and portable seats would give great incentive to go to reading center. I look forward to and excited to show my kids these cute stools.

My Project

Reading is the main way children become better at reading. I want them to enjoy reading and look forward to reading by themselves throughout the day. These seats look comfy and fun. I know my students would absolutely love reading in these chairs. They are portable and lightweight which is perfect for our classroom. My kids would love to go to their reading center each and everyday with these cozy stools. I look forward to watching my students grow and increase their passion for literature. With your help this will happen with smiles and plenty of excitement. Thank you for your consideration.
