Help me give my students Flex-Space Wobble Chairs! These chairs will allow for our students to participate in small group activities at our kidney table! These chairs are comfortable and help to keep them focused and engaged!
My school is an elementary school located in Brooklyn, NY. We strive to be "Heads Above the Rest" by encouraging all of our students to develop into independent, insightful, and curious learners. Our students come from all over the world and speak many different languages. My students participate in an Integrated Co-Teaching class (ICT). Our classroom consists of general education students and special education students that work together as a team. As Helen Keller said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much".
Our classroom consists of 30 children that participate in hands-on learning experiences to facilitate learning!
Our job is to help our students apply and obtain skills that they will carry with them throughout their educational careers while having as much fun as possible. Our students are special and all have different educational needs. We hope that by using DonorsChoose we can continue to make our classroom an inclusive and exciting place to be!
My Project
Flex Space Premium Wobble Chairs are a must have for our classroom! Our students engage in small group instruction throughout the day moving from station to station to optimize their learning experience. These wobble chairs are an alternative to traditional seating.
The chairs will provide our students with a full range of movement while engaging in an academic activity.
The students will benefit from these chairs tremendously! Providing them the ability to "wobble" and move will enhance their ability to focus and stay engaged!
Flex Space allows for collaborative learning and brings us into a 21st Century classroom without traditional seating arrangements. Collaborative learning is a student-based approach that encourages students to work as a team to achieve an end goal. An active learning environment will help to ensure that the students are engaged and learning in an optimal setting.
