Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are part of a wonderfully close-knit community that has had many challenges. They live in a low income part of Philadelphia, and the neighborhood can be difficult, with many challenges. My students have not been given a lot, and I try to provide them with everything that I can. Many of my students receive free or reduced-rate breakfast and lunch. This year it is my goal to make all my students feel welcome and comfortable in our classroom.

My Project

Please help me provide a comfortable seating area for my students. This piece will be utilized in our reading center where we are struggling in comfortable seating that will work in the space we have. Having a place where students can get comfortable and read is really important to help sustain their reading abilities.

We need more comfortable spots for our reading corner!

Your generous donation will help provide my students with a comfortable area to read and ultimately help them grow. I have tried to provide as much as I can but I am in need of your help this time.
