My Students

Hi, I am a first-year teacher in a classroom of 17 students. These kids live in a small, tight-knit community and most of them have been together since Birth, in Church Classes, Pre-school, extracurricular activities and of course, School. I am the new kid this year. They have school pride and love supporting every grade in our community from K-Seniors. These kids do not miss a school event. They are also very involved outside of the school in Dance, Music, Scouts and more.

My Project

I had the unfortunate opportunity to sit in a hard student chair during an hour-long class, afterward, I vowed to find better options.

I ask my students to stay in their seats and stay focused for two-three hours at a time.

The school year is winding down and I need students to learn and review more than ever before.

If students are expected to learn, they should at the very least have comfortable and flexible choices in their environment.

I have used my teacher money and some of my own to fund a few better seating options, but I can't afford to buy for each one of my students. These 6 Wobble chairs will help me at least provide relief during small group time.

I know a few that will benefit greatly, but truly believe it will be a benefit to every student in my classroom this year and for years to come.
