My energetic, full of spunk, 4th-grade class is made up of so many different personalities. I look forward each day to seeing them, coming in, and teaching them new math or science concepts. Their expressions, in math or science, when they accomplish, is priceless.
When receiving anything, be it a simple tangible item or a meaningful comment, the students really appreciate and light up in response.
Many are from low-income families and the littlest thing means the world to them.
How many of you love to find a nice comfortable chair to sit in or corner to complete your work? I'm looking to add that to our classroom through flexible, comfortable seating.
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.
During independent work times the students choose a location in the classroom that works for them such as: at different tables, sitting under tables with clip boards, or sitting or laying on the floor with a clip board. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating
I keep hearing from so many teachers how they have various types of seating in their classroom and how much their students love to work in the comfy environment. Please consider helping out my class by donating so we can create a more comfortable work environment. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
