Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I’m beginning a new school year at a brand new school. I would love for my kiddos at this new school to be comfortable while learning. I wasn’t able to move all of my seating options from my last school year but I went these students to have the same opportunities. If a student doesn’t want to be in the classroom, learning can be harder. If my kids are comfortable in class, they’ll enjoy the learning experience a bit more!

My Project

Being comfortable in the classroom is not something a lot of us were afforded while in elementary school (I sure wasn’t). I’ve found that my students focus better and are even more engaged when they’re able to be comfortable in the classroom. Think about it, would you rather sit on a cold hard chair or a soft fuzzy cushion? Exactly! We want to be comfortable while in any environment. These flexible seating options are going to give my students the opportunity to be the best they can be in the classroom. Wanting to be inside the classroom can and will impact their performance. I just want them to do and be their best.
