My Students

I have the privilege to teach some amazing first graders every year! My first graders are smart, energetic, creative and strong learners. Each year they come in the door eager to absorb everything being taught. Each child learns in their own way! They like to dance, sing, chant, cheer and have a lot of fun while learning. As their teacher it is my job to make sure that they are enjoying learning and taking that love of learning with them through the years!

My Project

The wobble cushions and floor seats will benefit my students greatly. Research shows that flexible seating in the classroom can improve attention and focus. I have learned, working with this group of first graders this year, that they work best when they are spread out on the floor rather than at their desk.

With both the wobble cushions and floor seats my students will be able to work their best while being comfortable with their learning.

These few sitting spots will add to our other flexible seating options that the students use daily. We just need to add a few more options so everyone has a spot! My students deserve to be accommodated to fit their every need to be successful in our classroom.
