There is so much fun and excitement that goes on in room 3 everyday. We are discovering new things all the time. My goal is for all my kiddos to discover a passion for learning and a love for reading. I want them to know they can do anything they want no matter what if they put their heart in it!

I try to create a comfortable environment where kids are able to make mistakes and learn from them and never feel bad about themselves. I know that they are only 5-7 years old and they are busy...they need to move and to talk to learn.
Our school is set right in the heart of a very tight knit community. Many of the families in our neighborhood have had many generations go to the same school. We are a community school where we work together to develop strong leaders and hard working, dedicated learners. We are very proud of all that our kiddos accomplish everyday! It is important for our kids to feel successful and to know the sky is the limit for them!
My Project
My kiddos will use this rug not only as a learning tool to help review sounds and letters but also as a place to gather and learn whole group. They will be able to have their own space yet be part of the whole group. The rug will not only serve as a classroom gathering spot but also give kids a comfortable spot to read to self and partner work throughout the day. It will also help brighten up our classroom and make it even more inviting for kiddos. Kids will be able to sit, lay and learn on this fun rug everyday!
I really think that this classroom rug will provide my kiddos with a fun learning tool as well as an inviting place to learn.
It will give us a defined space to meet as a group and learn together. It will also allow a fun and comfortable spot for them to sit, lay and learn both individually, with partners and whole group. I think this will give them one more tool to help with letters and sounds while providing them a fun place to gather.
