This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Title I school where more than 85% of the students get free breakfast and lunch. Most of the students have limited resources and have various learning needs. My students are full of energy and have a curious mind. When my students are comfortable, they work better and get more done. A pleasant environment makes the room a better place to learn and work together. This requested heater and fan combo will provide comfortable airflow without the risk of moving blades in winter and summer. It is safer and easier for elementary students to use without accidentally hurting their tiny hands on the fan blades.

I am requesting a bladeless heater and fan tower combo to help regulate the temperature in the classroom to create a healthy, comfortable, and safe learning environment for students.

The school's heating and cooling system is regulated at a central office location, and once the heat or air is on, it's full steam ahead. Unfortunately, these drastic temperature swings contribute to some students getting sick, especially after coming back from outdoor recess. Having the option of hot or cool air would help stabilize the environment so that students would not wear winter coats to get through the day or sweat in the summer afternoon.

A pleasant classroom climate will help our students perform their best. Thank you so much for your generous donations. It's donors like you that help underfunded schools like ours provide some of the basic amenities more affluent schools have.
