Our school is in south Texas and many of our students were affected by Hurricane Harvey last year. I see every student in the school each week.
Weekly I get the chance to mold the minds of 574 different students that all come from different backgrounds!
Music is a wonderful outlet for these students to express their creativity and their emotions. My students are young and many not able to express their emotions, my classroom allows for them to use music where they can’t find words.
Every week I have the privilege of teaching over 570 students in my classroom. It is important students come in and feel comfortable, so that learning can take place. This rug will help create a comfortable and inviting environment for my students. It will also double as a daily teaching tool. Seeing those musical symbols everyday and having them pictured in front of them everyday will help my students easily recognize these musical symbols. As my students become more fluent with these symbols, just by seeing them every time they come to class, my students will excel and grow in the music classroom.
