Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing, active, and enthusiastic learners. They come from homes in a rural country setting. Many of my students live well below the poverty level, but come everyday ready to learn with positive attitudes. Our small school is the center of that community.
Our classroom is a place where many of our students first dare to have dreams bigger than they have imagined before.
Most take part in our 100% free and reduced lunch service. In our room we are a family that takes on the adventure of learning together! This year we are striving to make our classroom home the best it can be!
My Project
The comfortable collaboration space for my students will be used during their workshop day. My students love to share their learning and a couch is the perfect place to that.
For my students, flexible learning spaces are a must have in their day.
Now we need the resources to make it come true. They understand that flexible seating allows them to learn in a variety ways with other students. They love to gather around a good book for discussion. They enjoy creating team Google slides on a variety of topics.
In our classroom students are pros at the idea of flexible seating. Having this couch for collaboration will provide a comfortable place off of the floor to reach that daily goal!
