My students need a comfortable place to work, learn, and calm down in the event they have an event that triggers them. These carpets will keep students off the cold, hard tile floor!

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I am the TLS, or Theraputic Learning Services, Special Education teacher for grades 3-5 at my school!
The students I work with are amazing young people who, at times, require support in order to meet their behavioral, emotional, and social challenges and needs.
Each student has a unique way of approaching the world and unique needs to complete their learning.
A part of my job is to provide my students with a comfortable, safe, and productive working environment where they can learn, grow, and make progress towards their individual education and behavior goals in a small group setting and in their own unique way!
Many of the students I work with are prone to behavioral outbursts, I need to provide them with a space where they can feel comfortable, safe, and calm.
The carpets will double as a place to calm down and refocus, as well as a place to read and learn independently when students are unable to do so in the general education classroom setting.
My students and I are unique learners who work on floors, counters, standing, and sometimes while moving around, carpets provide another viable seating option for students who enjoy working around the room. No one wants to work on a cold tile floor, let's give our students a comfortable place to learn and work cooperatively in their own way!
