Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love the fact that although my students live in areas that are economically challenged and resource deficient, they have the drive and ability to be successful academically. Our students just need an environment that is energetic, encouraging, and comfortable. My students are always trying to do their best inspite of having limited resources. They come to class ready to learn. My students are aware that education is a pathway to changing their situation, so they come to school and give it their best.

My Project

These items will really make my kiddos feel comfortable and ready to learn. I want to create a learning environment that is like a home away from home, since my students and I will be spending most of our time in the classroom. This project will help to create a atmosphere that encourages learning. I am a first year teacher, and I have limited resources as of now. I pray that someone will be generous enough to help me create

a classroom that is comfortable for my students to encourage a good year for learning and growth.

It is my belief that students will flourish in a flourishing environment.
